After surgery patients are moved to either the paediatric intensive care unit or the paediatric inpatient or daycase unit depending on their needs, where they are cared for by paediatric nurses, supported by a team of physiotherapists, dieticians, pharmacists, psychologists, play specialists and if needed, interpreters.

In addition to the 15 individual patient rooms on our day case ward we also have a state-of-the-art 5 bedded day unit. The inpatient ward provides accommodation for a parent to stay with their child overnight in the patient’s room. Our aim is to create an environment where children and their families feel happy and relaxed, and where parents can be confident that their child is receiving the very best medical care and attention.
