Dr Debbie Pullen is a Consultant Paediatrician.
She was the Clinical Lead for Paediatrics for two years before being made Chief of Service for Women and Children’s Health five years ago. As well as her clinical and managerial roles she is an educational supervisor, teacher and trainer for paediatric trainees and medical students. Her training took place in Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and London.
As a general paediatrician Dr Pullen looks after infants and children of all ages. She cares for children with all manner of childhood conditions, acute and chronic, and she has a special interest in endocrine (hormone) disorders such as thyroid disease and variations in growth and puberty. She is a member of the South Paediatric Endocrine Group.
Dr Pullen’s breadth of experience is such that she will see any child where there are parental concerns including children for general check-ups and vaccinations, children with acute infectious illness or other acute presentations and children with more prolonged symptoms requiring a diagnosis.
