Private GP Service

We understand how worrisome it can be as a parent when your child suddenly feels unwell. Here at the Children’s Hospital we can help ease your anxiety whether your child has a slight sniffle, cough or high temperature.

We have a dedicated paediatric GP Service at our Paediatric Outpatient Centre at 84 Harley Street, London W1G 7HW.

The service is available Monday to Saturday 9:00am – 7:00pm.

For appointments please call 020 7034 8181 or alternatively appointments can be booked via our contact page. Walk-in appointments, if available, can be offered on the same day.

We are able to help treat the following conditions:

  • Unexplained fever
  • Diarrhoea and vomiting
  • Viral illness
  • Dehydration
  • Coughs, sore throats and runny noses
  • Wheezing and breathlessness
  • Earache
  • Feeding difficulties
  • Unsettled babies

We are not able to treat the following conditions:

  • Serious medical emergencies posing an immediate
threat to your child’s health or life
  • Head injuries
  • Accidental ingestion

In any of these instances it is advisable you should take your child to your local accident and emergency department or dial 999 if it is an emergency.

On arrival, your child will be assessed and triaged by our dedicated nursing team before seeing the GP/Consultant. If needed, a referral may be made for further diagnostic investigation within the centre or campus.

If a further referral to a Consultant is required this can be made either the same day, if available, or the next available appointment.

Other charges may apply for any further investigations and tests e.g. blood and diagnostic tests.

All Outpatient charges including any prescriptions must be paid at the time of service and, if appropriate, reclaimed from your insurer.
